Approximately 14" round, to display on a wide windowsill in a mid-city high rise office of a COO.

The Wave aims to capture the turbulence of the ocean in all its glory. Having been a deep-sea diver, I saw underwater images in my mind's eye while choosing each piece of glass - as well as waves crashing near the shore.

Some of the glass is from "heads" - the smooth rolled leading edge when glass is rolled into sheets. Some pieces I made by fusing various colored chunk glass together. And there's two pieces of striped spiraled glass rods, imitating sea creatures.

The piece is mounted in a walnut base that originally was a cut-off from a wood-turners bowl form.
